The Harvest Festival McLaren Vale is a celebration of the diversity of food, wine, music and the arts from the McLaren Vale region.

The festival offers a range of events and experiencs as well as tastes and sounds to enjoy your day.

2016 Festival Program

Entry

A gold coin donation per person is asked for upon arrival. Please remember all money donated goes towards helping the McLaren Vale War Memorial Hospital.

Cooking Demo

In 2016 there will be 4 highly renowned local chefs individually presenting a variety of Cooking Demos throughout the afternoon. Free entry so come along & watch these kitchen masters prepare dazzling dishes. They will be using locally sourced ingredients & take home recipes will be available. The demos will be located inside the Bank SA Marquee at the following times:

  • 12pm Tom Boden from Ellen Street Restaurant
  • 1.30 kids cooking demo by Karena Armstrong from Salopian Inn
  • 3pm Peter Reschke from d’Arrys Veranda
  • 4.30pm Nigel Rich from Elbow Room

All meals prepared by the Chefs on the day will be individually auctioned off at the Harvest Festival Gala Dinner as a formal sit down meal for two, after each demo in the Bank SA Marquee. It will include a bottle of local wine & chocolates from Bracegirdles. If you can’t make it to the dinner ask a friend to bid for you.

Masterclasses – watch, listen & learn from masters in their field. $10pp, book online here to reserve your ticket, or try your luck on the day with limited tickets available from the information tent at the Festival.

  • 2.30pm Olives & Olive Oil by Robin Shliebs & Michael Harbison
  • 4 pm Wine & Chocolate by Richard Angove & Bracegirdle’s
