harvest-fest-2014a

The Harvest Festival McLaren Vale is a celebration of the diversity of food, wine, music and the arts from the McLaren Vale region. This annual event is all about fun and family, offering visitors exquisite tastes of the region’s world class wines and tantalising gourmet food. This premier regional event is an epicurean extravaganza! This is a family event with a fantastic range of activities to keep the kids amused such as face painting, craft, pizza making and pony rides!

For adults there is the chance to see cooking demonstrations and join in cheese, olive oil, beer and of course wine master classes. Adelaide favourite, Cheong Liew will be coming along to demonstrate a dish celebrating the local produce.

The 2014 Festival theme is ‘Joys of the Fleurieu’ which celebrates and showcases the characters, the life and the passions of the region. Festival participants will be able to sample the best of the Fleurieu produce in a fun cosmopolitan atmosphere.  McLaren Vale is a region famous for its grape vines, olive groves and almond orchards and is situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula just 45 minutes south of Adelaide.
