As well as a fun attempt to break a world record, the Havaianas Thong Challenge is a sensational and inexpensive Australia Day activity for the whole family!
So gather your family and friends and head down to the beach for some awesome beach activities, Havaianas giveaways, a beachside BBQ, live DJs playing some great Aussie tunes, and a celebrity MC to host the day.
Also be sure to keep an eye out for the Havaianas roving photographers. You and your family may end up in their online photo gallery or event video!
The event supports Nippers across the country and is a great way to have some fun on the beach. Here in Adelaide you can join in the event at the Glenelg Foreshore.
Here is the program for 2014:
- 8am | Event starts (registration opens)
- 10am – 4pm | Beach activities
- 1:30pm | Marshalling starts (head to marshalling area)
- 2:20pm – 2:55pm | World Record Attempt
- 4pm | Event finishes
Children under the age of 14 will need a parent or guardian to read the Terms & Conditions and agree on their behalf. Children under the age of 8 will not be able to take part in the World Record Attempt due to water safety responsibilities.
