Horses-In-Action & Strathalbyn Agricultural Show | 5 & 6 October 2014


Over the October long weekend Strathalbyn will host two days of country fun.  The Horses-In-Action horse event is on Sunday 5th October at the Equestrian Grounds on Callington Road from 8am until 4pm with free entry.  Show day follows on the public holiday Monday. October 6th.  Enjoy a full day of fun, music, animals, livestock, carnival rides, kids games and much more at the 2014 Strathalbyn Agricultural Show.

There will be a huge food court, displays of flowers, cookery, preserves, plants, arts and craft, photography, vegetables, wool, eggs, grains, produce and poultry.  The Strath Trail Bag, 2014 Young Farmer Challenge and live music from the Rockin’ Dallyroos will entertain the crowds.  For the 175th commemorations, dress up in any period costume for the Strath Settler’s Parade with cash prizes to be won.

The 2014 Woolworths Strathalbyn Children’s Games are open for all ages in categories 5-7 years, 8 – 10 years, 11- 13 years, teenagers and adults.  The games will be held on the oval in front of the Football Clubrooms at 10:30 am and 2.00pm during the day.  Listen for the announcements for the Games to begin and join in the family fun.  Games include Dummy Spit, Wheelbarrow Races, Sack Races and a Team Tug of War.
