Lunar New Year Street Party Adelaide

The Adelaide Lunar New Year Street Party is an annual community event held at the Chinatown Precinct and Gouger Street. The street party features many exhibitors and entertainers from a wide variety of Asian cultural groups all coming together to showcase their traditions through art and flavours.

To celebrate the Year of the Dragon in 2024, the 21st Chinatown Adelaide Lunar New Year Street Party will be held on Saturday 17 February in Gouger Street and Moonta Street featuring a massive street food stall and food truck line-up.  Colourful traditional lion dances will be circulating Chinatown and the Market District to lead you to the Street Party. Listen out for the sounds of their loud drum beats.

Each year they expect around 25,000 visitors for this multicultural day. This event will also be reported by local Chinese media and broadcast live on YouTube and other platforms.
