Around the Campfire

Around the Campfire in Adelaide 2017 supported by Dulux and Alberton Pharmacy will feature two of Australia’s hottest indigenous talents Electric Fields and Scott Darlow on a Sunday afternoon in Port Adelaide.

It will be a day where Australia can come together Around the Campfire to celebrate and embrace reconciliation and Indigenous art and culture. All funds raised will go to a new Around the Campfire Inc health promotion program involving food and cooking education for Aboriginal children and their parents in Aboriginal communities across South Australia beginning in 2018. The day will be hosted by award winning actress, Natasha Wanganeen, star of 2017 Adelaide Festival production, The Secret River. A Kaurna welcome and traditional dance will be performed by Tauondi College from Port Adelaide.

Performers at Around The Campfire:

Electric Fields

electric fields

Electric Fields are a seamless merging of pop, electronic and soul music. Electric Fields features the rare and beautiful voice of Zaachariaha Fielding – who ‘takes soul to the stratosphere’ – with the brilliance of music producer Michael Ross.

From the moment of launching their duet they have received a constant stream of offers and invitations including multiple performances at the Qingdao Festival in China; multiple performances in the Edinburgh Festival at the invitation of the SA government, a national tour with the Royal Croquet Club, and countless festivals and other special events.

They performed for the massive New Year’s Eve event at Elder Park, and have been booked for the Sydney Festival and WOMAD 2017.

Scott Darlow

When imagining what real Aussie Indigenous rock looks like, Scott Darlow should be what comes to mind. For more than ten years, Darlow has been one of the country’s hardest working and most successful independent artists.

Scott Darlow is undeniably a fixture of the Australian music landscape. The versatile singer/guitarist/didgeridoo player has released 5 albums and is currently working on a sixth. He has toured Australia more times than he can remember, each tour earning him new fans while satisfying the fans made on earlier tours.
