BBQ Buoys on the River Torrens | Sep 2017 – Mar 2018

Experience BBQ Buoys with family and friends along the River Torrens

BBQ Buoys is a BBQ + boating + party + fun experience company, making the most of our Aussie lifestyle.  Here in the city of Adelaide you can rent a donut-shaped boat with a BBQ on board where you can grill your own lunch, or if you don’t feel like cooking simply bring along a picnic to share on the centre table.  There’s a giant sun umbrella on board for shade so just add drinks and nibbles and up to 10 of your family and friends and enjoy the sights and sounds along the riverbank.

Once on board you can take your BBQ Buoy along the River Torrens from the Torrens Weir to the Frome Road Bridge.  Collection and return is at Pinky Flat, off War Memorial Drive.  The buoys are family friendly and safe with life jackets in suitable sizes provided.  Strict safety standards limits the number of children per adult ratio so there must be 1 adult per 3 children.

BBQ Buoys offer two types of buoys:  The Big Buoy (seats 10 people) and the Little Buoy (seats 8 people).  The most suitable BBQ Buoy will be selected for you depending on the size of your group and the type of package you choose.  There are numerous special packages available and bookings are for one hour or two.  The minimum age for a BBQ Buoys birthday party is 6 years old, so what a unique way to celebrate a water loving child’s birthday! (birthday boy or girl and all of their guests must be 6 years old or over on the date of the party).

The minimum age to hire and drive a BBQ Buoy is 21 years old and a car drivers licence is required.  Bookings are open for the current season which runs from September through to March.  Prices start at $69 for 1 hour.  You can book online here.
