Book Week Celebrations at the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Libraries

Exciting things are happening for Book Week 2019 at the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Library Service! The theme for Children’s Book Week 2019 is ‘Reading is my Secret Power’, and there are a range of super fun activities on to celebrate.

Payneham Library | Sunday 18 August 2019  |  1-4pm

An extra-special family afternoon at Payneham Library. There will be a performance by Dr Quark’s Scientific Circus at 2pm, Bubble show by Mr Oopy, food, art and craft activities, face painting, live music and more

Free, no bookings required, all ages

St Peters Library | Saturday 17 August 2019  |  1-3pm

Have your portrait drawn by the super Manga-style illustrator Tsunami Hee Ja, and hear some live music

Free, no bookings required, all ages

Norwood Library | Sunday 18 August 2019 | 1-4pm

Book Week Secret Character Hunt

At the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Library branches 17-25 August 2019 during opening hours

There will be a special character hunt throughout the library, where you can search for characters with secret powers. Download the free Metaverse app onto your smart phone or device (or borrow one of the library’s iPads) and pick up a clue sheet from the front desk. Return your completed sheet to receive a lucky dip prize, and go into the draw to win a Dillons Norwood Bookstore voucher.
