The inaugural VANTAGE® Festival of Architecture and Design in Adelaide is presented by the Australian Institute of Architects (SA Chapter).  The Festival creates the opportunity for architects and allied designers to engage with the community around how architecture and design can contribute to and enhance our quality of life. The Festival delivers a fun, vibrant and educational program of architecture and design talks, panel discussions, installations and films, children’s activities, open day events and guided architectural tours on foot and bicycle.

The following events are highlighted in the ‘Kid Friendly’ category.

Upcycle Architecture

The Northern end of Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga will be mysteriously transformed overnight by a group of young architects, who are set to re-imagine Adelaide’s cardboard waste as a material for artistic expression.  By Friday morning, October 10th, a series of beautifully designed and constructed installations of cardboard architecture will be on display to activate and enliven the space for the day!  The display will be available to view until 2pm.  Friday 10 October.  Click here for more details.
