Granite Island Planting Day | Victor Harbor | 11 Aug 2019

Granite Island Planting Day

Go along and help Friends of Granite Island plant seedlings to restore the Little Penguin habitat.

On Sunday 11 August the local ranger will be on hand and you can learn about the Little Penguin from the volunteers, who are working hard to look after the island, by joining a penguin tour.

If you like what you see, you are invited to join the Friends of Granite Island and get involved to help look after this special place.

Meet on the island under the big fig tree at the end of the Causeway.  Planting will take place in the Friends group’s revegetation sites, near the fig tree and on the southern side of the island.

This is a FREE family-friendly event. Morning tea and refreshments provided.

Bring gloves, water bottle, hat, and dress for the weather (it can get cold on the island).

This event is funded from the Adelaide and Mt Lofty Ranges NRM Board’s NRM levy.
