Lightsview hosts numerous community events across the year that current, future and local residents are welcome to attend. Be they fun or informative, the events help foster interaction within the community and have been enjoyed by thousands over recent years.

Boxtrolls (PG) 18 Dec 2015 | 7 – 11 pm

A young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. Based on the children’s novel ‘Here Be Monsters’ by Alan Snow.

The Imitation Game (M) 3 Jan 2016 | 7 – 11 pm

Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film protrarys the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britains top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.

Paddington (PG) 15 Jan 2016 | 7 – 11 pm 

A young Peruvian bear travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he meets the Brown family, who kindly offer him a temporary haven.

Paper Planes (G) 22 Jan 2016 | 7 – 11 pm

An imaginative children’s film about a young Australian boy’s passion for flight and his challenge to compete in the World Paper Plane Championships in Japan.
