Linear Park Reserve (Waterfall Creek) | Nature Play Space | Hallett Cove | Review

Linear Park (Waterfall Creek) Reserve

Linear Park Reserve Playground – (Waterfall Creek), Hallett Cove

The Linear Park (Waterfall Creek) Reserve in Hallett Cove was upgraded in 2014 to create a wonderful, natural play space.

Located on Slade Crescent within Linear Park Reserve, this area is a wonderful spot to set off exploring amongst the trees and rocks.

Nature Play Elements

The new playground includes some fabulous nature play elements including water play, sand play and balancing logs.  The water feature allows water to flow down through the rocks into the creek bed.

Play Equipment

There are swings (including toddler seat), a dual slide on a hill, a rope climbing structure, rope swing bridge and little rockers.  For the older kids there is a 3 on 3 basketball court to shoot a few hoops.

Landscaping & Facilities

The council upgrade has also incorporated new landscaping around the reserve’s creek line and trees and there is plenty of room to explore in both directions.  Considered a neighbourhood play space, the park has picnic facilities including a shelter and two sets of tables with bench seats, however there are unfortunately no toilets.

Linear Park (Waterfall Creek) Reserve – Play & Go Tips

There is no shade over any of the play equipment, so be prepared during the warmer months with hats and sunscreen.  There is however plenty of shade under the surrounding trees to throw down a picnic rug.

This is an ideal playground for little ones as it’s not too big.  If you have older children who love Geocaching as much as we do, there are a few in this area not too far from the playground!

Keep in mind this area is not fenced, but it is in a quiet area away from main roads.  There are also no toilets here.

Hi, I just thought I’d let you know there are now large shade sails over the swing and slide areas at this park.
