Marshmallow Park | Playground Review 2014

One of Adelaide’s favourite playgrounds had a facelift in 2014 and it’s certainly worth a visit to check out this top park.

Located on Glen Osmond Road, Marshmallow Park has been a popular family meeting spot for many years now.  It is especially good for toddlers and young children as it’s fully fenced with toilets near by.  There are numerous new structures well suited to little ones that we haven’t seen before with features to encourage balancing, climbing, exploring, jumping and hours of active, creative play.

The old climbing structure has been replaced and the new one features a slide, balance beam, climbing wall, ladder net, steps, a fireman’s pole and monkey bars.

There’s a terrific new fully supported trampoline with minimal bounce ideal for little ones (and big kids too!)

A new bench seat swing has been installed complete with two toddler seats – parents with more than one child or twins will love this one! It’s the first of its type we’ve seen in Adelaide.

The sand play area has remained, but the old structure has been replaced with a brightly coloured new one, again ideal for little ones as it’s low to the ground and features wide steps and a small, low slide.

Children can let their imagination take them away as they play on the new ‘Wave’ apparatus…

Many of Marshmallow Park’s original features still remain, such as the coloured tunnels and poles, the path loop, timber decking, the bridge and water pump.  To see our first review of Marshmallow Park (from 2012) click here.
