Mothers past and present honoured at Enfield Memorial Park
A moving photo tribute incorporating images of mothers, grandmothers and special women will be the centrepiece of a Mother’s Day Service of Remembrance at Enfield Memorial Park in May.
The Adelaide Cemeteries Authority’s Mother’s Day service will be held from 10.30am until 11.30am on Sunday 14 May. The free event brings together all South Australian families and friends to honour the memories of mothers across the generations.
Civil Celebrant Robyn Dennard will lead the service, which will take place in a marquee set upon Enfield Memorial Park’s picturesque Folland Lawns. Guests can remember and reflect amid the classical sounds of a string duo, performed by Amicus Strings.
South Australians are encouraged to submit a photo of special women in their lives who have passed on, to be featured in a photo tribute segment during the service.
Photos can be emailed to email@example.com. People can also bring their chosen photo to the Enfield Memorial Park Visitors Centre and have it scanned for inclusion. Tributes must be received by Monday 8 May 2017.
A range of hot beverages provided by Saint Espresso Coffee Truck will be available complimentary in the Park prior to the service, from 9:00am. Visitors will receive complimentary refreshments, including Greek Loukoumades from the Honey Puff Ladies, at the conclusion of the event until 12.30pm.
“Mother’s Day is a significant event for people from all cultures, faiths and backgrounds,” said Adelaide Cemeteries Authority Chief Executive Officer, Mr Robert Pitt. “Our mothers live on through the memories we share. Our Mother’s Day Service of Remembrance will honour the memories of mothers past and present, bringing together families and members of the broader community on this special day.”
