Music is my Superpower! Free School Holiday Workshop

A protest song is a song that is created to inform or empower for social change. Children and teenagers under 18 cannot vote in elections, but have to voice their opinions in other ways, like music.

These October school holidays, the Centre of Democracy and the Adelaide City Library are inviting young people between the ages of 12 to 14 to help write a ‘protest song’ about the big issues that matter to them. Work with singer/songwriter Hannah Yates to learn how to express yourself through the power of music. No past musical experience is required, but please bring along a musical instrument if you have one!

Bookings required. This free school holiday workshop is brought to you by the Centre of Democracy and the Adelaide City Library.
