The kids are coming to Organic Corner Store!

Organic Corner Store has been operating as a weekly market for 3.5 years in the Holdfast Bay area and in April they are inviting the kids to join them as stallholders. They would like young entrepreneurs to bring their wares to sell….from pet rocks to books, toys and clothes, handmade items, homemade goodies and second hand items.

The kids markets will be held on April 21 and April 28 and are limited to 20 stalls and must be booked in with Market Manager, Aasha Shaw.

Founder/Market Manager, mother, and part time teacher, Aasha Shaw says “my goal when I launched the market was to provide my family and my community with access to reasonably priced, locally grown or made organic produce and products. 3 years on we have built a thriving community of like minded folks who share ideas, recipes and produce. I am excited to extend our usual 25+ stalls and include children in our community who can buy, swap and sell their own wares at our market on April 21 and 28, 2016.”

They look forward to children setting up a variety of stalls on tables and picnic rugs across the lawned area and Mums, Dads, neighbours, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles coming along to support these young people.

They have linked with the Glenelg North Community Garden whose volunteers offer a swap/share table each week at market as well as a chat and advice about all things gardening. The William Kibby Vets Shed volunteers provides a BBQ cook up each week as well as a laugh and a chat.

These markets provide an extensive range of guaranteed certified organically grown and freshly picked seasonal vegetables and fruit, plus organic cakes and biscuits, dairy products, coffee, meat, breads, raw food and natural skin care. There is even an onsite masseuse!
