Pop the Bubbleman’s Fantabulous Bubble Show | Fringe 2016 Review

Pop Bubbleman

Pop the Bubbleman’s Fantabulous Bubble Show is billed as “Fun, Fast, Loud crazy bubble spectacular show that kids love. Come and enjoy the beautiful art of bubble making. Giant bubbles, smoke bubbles and even people inside bubbles.” – it didn’t disappoint!

The show is hosted by experienced Scottish bubbleman Tim Edie, who takes his show all over the world. The show is a great mix of bubbles (regular ones, big ones, smoked filled ones, people filled ones and even bubbles inside bubbles) as well as a little education as well. Tim was keen to share his knowledge of how bubbles are formed, why bubbles are spherical, how bubbles behave in different weather, what happens when they join together – many things you didn’t even realise you wanted to know about bubbles!

The atmosphere was fun – the show was less than half full the day we went – but still lots of laughs and happy children and they were showered in bubbles, trying to pop them and trying to catch them. All the children in attendance, aged from toddlers up to around 10 years seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially the few kids that got to take to the stage and join in with the bubble experimenting.

The only word of warning: it’s a wet and bubbly show; you will get bubbles all over you so don’t wear your finest clothes or anything you don’t want to get soapy!
