Adelaide Parklands Comes Alive with Vintage Cars!

Almost 200 veteran and vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected to converge on the Adelaide Parklands for a free public display on Sunday 20th March.

Organised by The Vintage Sports Car Club of South Australia, the 9th Annual Historic Motor vehicle Gathering Display Day once exclusively for vehicles built before 1931, in recent years has welcomed classic cars to the gathering, which are vehicles built after 1931.

The display of vehicles gives the public a chance to see just how quickly the vehicles evolved in the first few decades of the 19th century. Everything from spindly, single cylinder cars and bikes well over 100 years old capable of just 40kmph to luxury vehicles from the height of the ‘Roaring Twenties’ more than capable of mixing it with modern traffic will be on display.

This is not just a great opportunity to see the history of motoring but a chance to meet and talk with the owners of these vehicles and marvel at the development of design and grandeur of these magnificent machines

This is also an opportunity for the younger generations to see ‘up close and personal’ relics from an era of motoring very people truly remember which helps to foster and preserve an interest in the historic vehicle movement.

Entry is free for vehicle owners and spectators.

There will be food available at the event including a BBQ, coffee, ice cream and refreshments. There will be plenty of parking available for vehicles and spectators.
