Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella | 15 & 16 Apr 2016

cinderella

Northern Light Theatre Company is very excited to be bringing the classic tale of magic, princes and lost slippers to audiences in April 2016. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella captures all of the charm of the original with a beautiful score and wonderful characters.

The show is headed by a young, but knowledgeable, production team including Lauren Scarfe as director, Helen Loveday as musical director and Thomas Phillips as choreographer. Together these three have a wealth of theatre experience both on and off the stage with many of Adelaide’s theatre companies. Their new and interesting ideas are sure to create a production of Cinderella unlike one seen in Adelaide before.

The award-winning Kate Hodges, fresh from her role as Susan in our last production of Big, graces our stage as the titular role. Ready to fall in love is her real life husband, Dominic Hodges, as Prince Christopher. Berny Abberdan brutally rules over Cinderella as the Stepmother, accompanied by her two daughters Grace and Joy – to be played by Jessica Beattie and Laura Langman. Tom Drenthen, who appeared alongside Kate in last year’s Big, will feature as the Prince’s right-hand-man, Lionel. The ever-magical Fairy Godmother will be portrayed by Stephanie Foy. Sandy Wandel and Graham Loveday will appear as Queen Constantine and King Maximillian respectively.

Tickets: Adults $30, Concession/Child $25, Family (2A/2C) $90
