Over forty retailers across the Barossa are joining together in the Shop Barossa Christmas shopping event, inviting locals and visitors to spend their Christmas dollars locally this festive season.

For one day only the participating retailers will be offering a fantastic range of free gifts, discounts, VIP experiences and special offers. Free hand massages in store, a glass of sparkling wine while you shop, free gifts with every purchase and significant discounts across stores are some of the offers available on the day.

Visitors and locals alike can take a relaxed meander through the retailers of the Barossa, picking up locally crafted, ethically sourced beautiful Christmas gifts along the way and hopefully discovering their new favourite shop in the process. Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunities to refresh and refuel at one of the Barossa’s famous cafes, restaurants or cellar doors.

“Shopping locally is a fantastic way to support our local economy, drive employment and give back to the community. Meeting the people who run the stores – and in some cases – make the products gives more meaning to the experience; it creates a relationship not just a transaction. The Barossa has a diverse, high quality retail offering and we’re so delighted that the retailers of the Barossa are working together to showcase their wares in the lead up to Christmas. It’s going to be a fantastic day!” Jess Greatwich, Project Officer, Tourism Barossa.

There are specific offers relating to children, including Little and Hip, Tiny Nest, The Co-op, Evan’s Cycle Shed and more. In addition, there are plenty of children’s activities in the Barossa to combine with some shopping, including Bowl-land, Dinosaur mini golf, beautiful parks and picnic areas, adventure haystack climbing at Pindarie Wines – and more!
