Swampfest Community Planting Day | Stipiturus Conservation Park | 23 Jun 2019

Swampfest 2019 Community Planting Day at Stipiturus Conservation Park

Help save the Mount Lofty Ranges Southern Emu-wren

Natural Resources Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges invite you and your family to this year’s Swampfest, an annual community event to help re-establish habitat around one of the Fleurieu’s largest swamps. During the day they will be planting seedlings of the endangered Mount Compass Oak-bush and other native plants.

This will help improve habitat for one of the region’s most threatened birds – the Mount Lofty Ranges Southern Emu-wren. The day will also feature kids’ activities and talks.

The 2019 event will continue the fantastic work of volunteers that have attended Swampfest in previous years.  Lunch and drinks provided.

Please bring:

  • wet weather gear (e.g. waterproof jacket/pants, gumboots)
  • warm clothing and boots
  • work gloves
  • water bottle

This is a FREE event, but bookings are essential for catering purposes – register below.
