Tales of Adventure  |  Choose Your Own Adventure meets Neverending Story!

Fantasy, danger, excitement, laughs and mystery await those brave enough to join adventurer Cornelius, latest caretaker of leather-bound tome ‘Tales of Adventure’.

This mysterious book has a mind of its own. Watch your characters and their world come to life as your imagination powers this interactive improvised story!

Cornelius will be reading one of the countless stories contained in the mysterious tome “Tales of Adventure” to anyone who visits him in his library. On arrival, you will learn skills to help you interact with the book. You can help shape the story and build the characters and world they inhabit. Make decisions on how the story evolves.

Tales of Adventure is a celebration of stories, teamwork, cooperation and the power of imagination. Who knows what will happen! No two shows will be the same in this improvised choose your own adventure. Come dressed as your favourite storybook character and let loose your power of imagination!

Created and directed by Curtis Shipley, in the company of some of Adelaide’s finest improvisers and accompanied by a live improvised musical soundtrack.

On arrival the cast will work with the kids on some fun improvised games to warm them up and get them ready to give suggestions for the story. Once in the theatre the kids decide what happens – anything goes. Their imaginations are required so the actors can play out the story in 3D.  Previous attendees have created theme songs too!
