This food and cultural experience will be hosted by Rosa Matto in a picnic style setting, featuring a mixture of entertainment, food stalls, local providores and tasting plates. Soak in the stories of arrival and survival alongside the inspiration for their delicious food offerings as the traditional Kaurna custodians welcome the newest members of our community

Moonlight Garden Cinema | 12 April 2019  |  Location: St Francis Winery

This family friendly event features stalls showcasing local wines and produce from the region for you to peruse and graze throughout the evening. A family friendly event, showing The Lion King film will allow you to unwind and unfurl with loved ones young and old. Settle in for the evening at St Francis Winery.  From $17.35 to $27.55

STREET – Asian Fusion! | 6 April 2019  |  Location: Chinatown Plaza Food Mecca

South Australia’s ‘kings of Asian fusion’ will collaborate for one night only serving up the ultimate Asian food experience. In the heart of Chinatown, explore the redeveloped, luxurious Chinatown Plaza. Try celebrated street food from the Asian nations; drunken prawns, Cheung fun, curry fish balls, tofu, steamed eel in black bean sauce, squid and octopus tentacles, freshly handmade Langman (noodles), Kao Rou, crispy fried chicken, dumplings, duck and so much more. Ticket includes all the food you can eat (in your allocated sitting) and one drink from Tomich Wines on arrival.  From $37.75 to $73.47

Teenage Food Saucerers Program – Baking Saucerers (Ages 12+) | 12 April 2019  |  Location: Scoffed, St Morris

This class is every aspirational Zumbo’s dream where kids will recreate a master chef style dessert that even their parents would find hard to achieve. Under the tutelage of amazing pastry chef, Jenette Goh, who was trained in fine dining restaurants in Adelaide, the Food Saucerers will create a mini croquembouche, learning how to make choux pastries, custard and spinning sugar. Cost includes all ingredients, aprons, recipes, equipment and a mini croquembouche to take home.  Cost: $98.98

Teenage Food Saucerers Program – BBQ Saucerer (Ages 12+) | 14 April 2019  |  Location: Scoffed, St Morris

Teach your teens all about the fun of firing up the family barbecue. This three-hour cooking class hosted by Scoffed and sponsored by Weber BBQs will empower teenagers to cook several dishes – including dessert – all using a barbecue, safely. Cost includes all ingredients, aprons, recipes, equipment and a 2-course lunch.  Cost: $98.98

Teenage Food Saucerers Program – Savoury Saucerer (Ages 12+) | 13 April 2019  |  Location: Scoffed, St Morris

In this half day cooking class the Food Saucerers will learn how to create fine dining classic Italian dishes using the best local seasonal ingredients. Included will be bread and pasta making as well as simple, but perfect sauces, salads, and of course an amazing dessert. Cost includes all ingredients, aprons, recipes, equipment and a 2-course lunch.  Cost: $98.98

Fire and Flavour | 3 – 26 April 2019  |  Location: UniSA City West

The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre at UniSA presents a photographic exhibition, book launch and forum on Food Writing and Critiquing in the Kerry Packer Civic Gallery. The collection of photographs records the journey photographer Tony Lewis and writer Nigel Hopkins made to Thailand with chef Nu Suandokmai, to Nu’s family farm where he was taught to cook by his mother and older sister.  FREE

The Farmers Fare | 14 April 2019  |  Location: Four Oaks Farm

Immerse yourself in the farmer’s way of life at The Farmers Fare at Littlehampton. Experience the food and wine of the Adelaide Hills region while enjoying cooking demonstrations, wine and cheese masterclasses, olive oil tasting sessions, historic farm walking tours, artisan breadmaking demonstrations, scone ‘bake-off’ competitions, apple crushing, historic and educational farming displays, a farmer’s ‘trail’ for children and activities based around Stephanie Alexander’s Kitchen Garden program.  Cost: $12.24

World-wide interest in vegan food is on the rise, and Adelaide is no exception. This one-day food festival is a chance for Adelaide’s growing vegan community, and the v-curious, to learn more, celebrate, and enjoy delectable local vegan food and drinks.

Meet one of the Australian olive oil industry’s newest teams – Mel Hollick and Brook Wyett combine their wine and agricultural industry experience to maintain their picturesque 9000-tree property in Currency Creek.
