WOW Day – Wear Orange Wednesday – is a national day of recognition to say ‘thank you’ to all SES volunteers across Australia.
This year WOW Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 17 May 2023. WOW Day celebrations will be held across Australia and all workplaces and organisations are encouraged to host their own WOW Day morning tea or event.
The SES is hosting a special WOW Day event in Rundle Mall under the Gawler Place canopy and everyone is invited. Join principal sponsor NRMA Insurance on Wednesday 17 May 2023 between 11am and 3pm.
Andrew Costello from ‘South Aussie with Cosi will be there to say G’Day from midday to 2pm alongside SES mascot Paddy the Platypus. Plus there’ll be giveaways, photobooth fun and more.
You can show your support by jumping on the socials wearing orange and share the love with #thankyouses
What to do on WOW Day:
- Wear something orange in colour
- Take a photo of yourself and your colleagues wearing orange and post it to social media using the hashtag #ThankYouSES
- Host a WOW Day morning tea
- Bake something orange
- Light up your home or workplace in orange lights
- Say thank you to a SES volunteer
- Join the SES and Principal Sponsor NRMA at the Special WOW Day event at Rundle Mall in Adelaide
