Wild in the Streets | BMX Event | Victoria Square | 22 Oct 2017

Wild in the Streets

Wild in the Streets is a free come and try event to encourage as many South Australian kids that they can to come and try BMX in a creative and inspiring way in downtown Adelaide!

Ride some cool obstacles that you don’t normally see in an urban setting whilst riding with other like-minded folks. Check out some food stalls and listen to the beats and make use of the bikes and helmets that are provided for free.

Wild In The Streets is an event held by High Street Social Club, Lighthouse Youth Projects and Splash Adelaide. The event is designed to give kids, youth and young adults an alternative area to gather and ride a “DIY” type course in the heart of Adelaide.

The feel that they are going for is Urban Freedom and a display of Recycling, Upcycling and innovative ways to create a vibrant space and highlight the inclusive nature of BMX freestyle riding. This event is also sponsored by local business Little Black Bike and The 5OS Project.

About High Street Social Club:

High Street Social Club are Adelaide’s youngest youth organisation and are putting on their first free public event in the city, Wild in the Streets. They are all about helping young people find a better pathway in life and employment and are doing this by the means of community engagement. They are aiming to have a pretty fun and casual four hours of people riding BMX in the Northern end of Victoria Square and doing what young people do best, having fun!
