Indigenous Literacy Day Celebrations 2020
Join Andy Griffiths, Anita Heiss, Alison Lester, Jessica Mauboy, Shelley Ware, Josh Pyke, Archie Roach and more to celebrate language, literacy and learning on Wednesday 2 September 2020.
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is celebrating language and literacy in remote communities and the immense opportunities that positive community-led engagement can provide.
On Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD) you will learn about the impact of their programs, hear a delightful story read in Kriol, meet children and adults in the community and enjoy a special version of a song by ILF Ambassador and beloved Australia’s popstar, Jessica Mauboy.
This event is a window into the work the Indigenous Literacy Foundation do. They hope viewers will find this event enlightening and it encourages further engagement with their Foundation; whether you’re already a supporter, or simply wanting to keep up to date with their vital work. If you share their vision for equity of opportunity, the Indigenous Literacy Day event is for you.
