Kick start your Tour Down Under celebrations on The Parade, Norwood from 8.00am on Thursday 23 January 2014. Bring your friends, family and work colleagues and be part of the excitement!
Sit back and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in one of the Parade’s alfresco dining areas, listen to live music, watch the roving entertainers or get the kids involved with a range of on-street activities including face painting and amusements.
Stage 3 will set off from The Parade, Norwood, adjacent the Norwood Town Hall, travelling 145 kilometres through Kersbrook, Williamstown and Mt Pleasant before finishing in Campbelltown.
“The Council is absolutely thrilled to welcome back the Santos Tour Down Under in 2014 with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters selected to host the Stage 3 Start on The Parade on 23 January 2014,” said City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Mayor, Robert Bria. As the Home of Cycling in South Australia, Norwood is extremely well positioned to present this international sporting spectacular and the Council looks forward to showcasing Norwood and all that it has to offer,” he said.
