The Matildas are coming to Adelaide!
In exciting news for South Australia, the Matildas will return to SA for the first time in 5 years to play a match at Adelaide Oval ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In what is sure to be a sell out game, the CommBank Matildas will host reigning AFC Womenโs Asian Cupโข champions and FIFA Womenโs World Cup 2023โข participants, China PR, at Adelaide Oval on Friday 31 May 2024.
South Australian Premier, Peter Malinauskas, announced the exciting news on social media, claiming the game will be ‘the hottest ticket in town!’. This match marks the first fixture in Australiaโs two match โโTil Itโs Done Farewellโ international series against the current world ranked number 19.
The increasing popularity of our beloved women’s national soccer team follows the Matildasโ incredible journey to the semi-finals of last yearโs World Cup, played here in Australia and New Zealand. The Adelaide game is expected to draw a massive crowd as was seen recently in Perth and Melbourne.
The Matildas secured their qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics when they defeated Uzbekistan 10-0 in Melbourne last month in front of a crowd of 54,000.
Tickets prices are expected to range from $20 for juniors, $35 for adults and starting from $90 for family tickets.
Travel to and from Adelaide Oval for FREE on all buses, trains and trams with your match day ticket.
Matildas tickets will go on sale from Friday 8 March 2024.
