Maxwell Wines Reopening
From 22 May, people can break the COVID ISO COMA with Maxwell Wines’ Insta Brag-worthy Experiences.
Just 40kms and 40 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD few cellar doors give Maxwell’s holistic wine experiences to break the COVID coma. Perched atop the winery, you have a window into its soul with cascading views across McLaren Vale and inside Maxwell winery’s own guts.
Open from 22 May 2020:
New Cellar Door Tasting Flight – super fun idea with entree finger food concept to go with the wine. Tastings Flights are available only on weekends and start on the hour every hour with the last booking available at 4pm.
Winery Tour with a Twist where you collect produce as you go.
Price – $150 per couple (tickets must be purchased in twos)
Price includes tour and over $150 worth of wine & produce.
Available – 7 days (subject to availability). Time: 10am – 5pm
Reopening June long weekend (6 June 2020):
Luxurious fine dining at the restaurant providing heaps of insta worthy content, plus a new menu.
Providing both sensory and Instagrammable delights, the restaurant champions seasonal produce from local suppliers. Every dish is carefully planned and presented, for patrons to enjoy views of the winery cellar, vineyards and the Fleurieu Peninsula’s rolling hills. The latest menu from Chef Fabian Lehmann see’s to hero the sensational produce born from our beautiful state and to support our important producers who are doing it tough through these COVID times.
The South Australia Showcase Menu is offered only on weekends with booking’s slots available at 12noon and 2.30pm, due to government restrictions they are strictly limited with the number diners at any one time so they ask patrons adhere to these timings.
Maxwell Hedge Maze & picnic ground
Especially popular with families, the Maxwell maze and picnic grounds are open from 10am to 5pm daily. It is $5 per person or free with any purchases from cellar door.
Due to Government restrictions, the Maxwell Maze & Picnic Grounds must be booked in advance.
Mushroom Picking in 100-year-old Lime Cave
Your experience will start in the Maxwell cellar door as you are treated to an overview of Maxwell and how they began. Then, see the where the grapes arrive, find out how they are pressed, fermented and blended to create the final wine before it is hidden away to mature. The next stop is the 100-year-old Lime Cave. Not only is the Lime Cave a sought-after venue space but it is also the perfect spot to grow mushrooms.
Here, the mushroom picking will begin. Make sure you choose only the best, as these mushrooms will feature in your dinner for the evening.
Available 7 days (subject to availability). Tour times: 10am & 3pm.
