Mega Courts Indoor Sports, Windsor Gardens – Review

For anyone who likes to bounce, jump, run or play with a ball, Megacourts is an inflatable and sports heaven!

I had fully intended to sit on a bench seat and watch my kids bounce themselves silly, instead, I found myself unable to resist and before long I too was scrambling along the commando course and sliding down the giant inflatable slides with glee – and boy was it fun!

For two hours, a small group of four kids and three adults had a fantastic time working up a sweat on the inflatables and playing sport on the sports courts.

The facility is huge and there is something for everyone that loves to be active.

Inflatables

There are approximately six inflatables for kids to go crazy on. The biggest one is a bouncy commando course which involves a lot of slithering through tunnels, climbing and sliding. In the evenings, this course is used by sports groups for training: it’s no wonder, as it certainly gets the blood pumping.

There are two additional very large inflatables which also feature lots of climbing obstacles and quite steep slides for a bit of a thrill.

The Commando Course

Specifically for the littlies (but also for the big kids!)

There are some more sedate inflatables which are great for the younger kids: a bouncy basketball inflatable; a maze; and an inflatable with mushrooms poking up which are great for the kids to jump and crash onto.

The great thing about this place is that it isn’t particularly age-dependant. Some littlies may find climbing some of the big inflatables a bit daunting. While we were there however, there was a three year old attacking the commando inflatable quite happily with very little help. For active mums and toddlers, this would be a fantastic place to come and play.

The inflatables are supervised by staff and even though we were soon joined by a large group of visiting kids (over 20), there were no unfortunate incidents because everyone was having so much fun and there was plenty of room for everyone.

The Sports Areas

There are approximately seven courts catering for a range of sports: basketball; netball; soccer and cricket and you can wander onto any of them at any time and start playing. We elected soccer to appease the soccer buffs in the family and had a great time.

Food and drink

There is a well-stocked fridge and food available for purchase on-site, with a lovely seating area. Kids can bring their own drink bottle and refill for free at their water re-filling station.

There are plenty of tables and chairs available and new clean toilet facilities. There is also a large-screen television which might come in handy for the kids that require a small break.

This is a great place for groups of parents, kids and families to meet. There is plenty to do for all ages and there is coffee available should you wish to take a break and watch the kids have a fantastic time. However, you may just find yourself bouncing or running around having a great time too!
