Morialta Nature Cafe Review

Here’s even more reason to visit Morialta Conservation Park – the Morialta Nature Playground now has its own cafe.

We love getting out and about and exploring the trails at Morialta Conservation Park and spotting koalas and (depending on the weather and how well-rested they are) my kids usually do too. The thing is, however, my kids always want to make a beeline straight for the Nature Playground and if they had a choice they might even give the walk to the waterfall a miss and just spend all morning at the playground.

I’m optimistic the new Morialta Nature Cafe will be something of a game changer. It’s right next to the top section of the Morialta Nature Playground so you can theoretically grab a park and immediately head up the path towards the walking trails and then after a nice walk everyone can enjoy a coffee or ice cream. Delayed gratification!

When you can’t decide what flavour icecream you want it’s always best to go for a ‘rainbow cone’.

Just look out for the bright yellow and red umbrellas out the front of the stone building right at the top of the Nature Playground.

Coffee and icecream options

Morialta Nature Cafe is actually more of a coffee cart than a fully-fledged cafe, but it still serves great coffee, chai and teas; and ice creams. You can get your coffee with lactose-free milk, soy milk, almond milk, and standard cows milk.

The snake play structure is a perfect place to go and hide in (or on top of) with your ice cream if you don’t want to share it with anyone.
