Who wants to travel all the way into the city, when you can attend an outdoor cinema in your own back yard (or local oval!)? The Coromandel Community Centre will be hosting ‘Movies in the Park’ at Weymouth Oval, Main Road, Coromandel Valley on Saturday, 28 November.
There is nothing quite like the atmosphere of catching a movie under the stars. Weymouth Oval is the perfect venue for this fun, safe and family friendly event. A $2 donation is all it will take to enjoy the 8.15pm screening of “Big Hero 6” (animated PG rated movie).
Come and enjoy a summer evening and entertainment in the fresh air with family and friends. Bring along your bean bag, rugs (no high backed chairs please) and picnic baskets. Event will open at 6.30pm, enjoy live entertainment by young performer; Aden Quinn until the sun goes down. Aden is a 14 year old talent that will blow you away on his guitar and with his vocals.
Some catering will be on sale as well as glowsticks, to create a magical atmosphere when the sun goes down.
For more information about the event (including catering options) or to obtain a description of the movie being screened, visit the Coromandel Community Centre website here or contact the Centre office on 8370 6880. If rain is forecast the event will be cancelled.
