Understanding the mysterious world of teens at home and at school by Kirrilie Smout
The presenter, Kirrilie Smout, clinical psychologist will talk about:
- teenage brain development
- what helps teens succeed in learning and in life
- how parents can talk with teens about things that help them be their best:
- being organised
- managing homework
- dealing with what can get in the way, e.g. social media, gaming.
Kirrilie Smout is a clinical psychologist and Director of Developing Minds Psychology. She works with children, teens and families and helps school staff and students deal with issues such as stress management, study skills, motivation and coping with difficult times.
Jodie Benveniste, psychologist and Director, Intuitive Parenting, will be your MC for the evening. She will highlight the importance of parent wellbeing and how nurturing yourself supports children’s development and learning.
