Wild Imagination celebrate World Environment Day with Nature Play for Families
Wild Imagination is an award winning nature play program which has seen more than 15,000 children experience the joy of outdoor free play. Their World Environment Day program offers a variety of family fun events. Due to the range of activities planned, they recommend kids are between 1 – 12 years old. Children under 12 months are free to attend with a paying ticket holder.
Wild Imagination is all about outdoor, nature filled, unstructured, screen-free fun. Here are a few things you can expect:
- Mud play – including mud kitchens and a big mud pit
- Water play – including potion making and making waterfalls and ‘creeks’ with beautiful hand carved wooden logs
- Nature crafts – including clay play, paint and paint brush making, stick craft, dream catchers and much more
- Loose parts play – in their gigantic ‘Inventors Playground’
- Bush cubby building – taking inspiration from indigenous cultures
- Tuesday 28 May 2019 – open to children of all ages and runs from 10am – 1pm. This means pre-schoolers and for the first time they’re excited to welcome home schoolers.
- The weekend sessions are Saturday 1 June 2019 and Sunday 2 June 2019 from 9am – 12pm.
On Saturday 1 June 2019 they will be launching a very special project – The “Your Wild Imagination” nature play activity book will be available to pre-order on Kickstarter.
That means you’ll be able to ‘pledge’ that you would like to own one of the first copies of the book. You order it via Kickstarter and then it gets delivered to your door in October 2019. The book is full of beautiful and inspiring activities so you can continue nature play at home. The crowd funding runs from 1 June – 1 July 2019, but you can order early and take advantage of earlybird discounts.
(Tickets available for all 3 sessions at time of publishing)
