NONSENSE FESTIVAL CANCELLED

It is with great sadness that Nonsense Festival announced on 5 October 2016, that the event has been cancelled. Due to circumstances out of their control relating to the weather, Nonsense Festival cannot go ahead. The organisers understand that a great many people will be disappointed; please know it is not a decision that has been made lightly.

If you have purchased tickets, they will be refunded over the next few days. See their Facebook page here for details.

Head to Belair National Park for some NONSENSE!

Full of spine-tingling moments, Nonsense Festival is a brand new festival created just for children and their families. Taking place in Belair National Park on the 15th October 2016, families will delight in this spellbinding one-day festival. Nonsense is an enchanting place where art, music and literature are entwined in a marvellous landscape. You never know what you will find behind the next tree – music, theatre, circus, dance, workshops and installations!

A child’s imagination is a powerful thing which can bring amazing and mind-boggling ideas to the arts. Nonsense aims to not only provide children with high quality performers and artists, but an environment that allows children to unleash their imaginations. Nonsense aims to give children a safe place to run wild, skip, jump and climb, with unbridled curiosity. Join in the nonsense with a selection of the activities on offer:

  • draw your own map of nonsense
  • Nature Play SA tent
  • Tomfoolery stage with spectacular performances
  • write your own story to add to the woodland library
  • yoga
  • music and marching workshops
  • circus and slapstick
  • performances
  • instrument making workshop
  • bamboozling maze
