Page & Turner Book Shop | Adelaide | Review

Page & Turner in the Myer Centre Adelaide offers a shopping experience for the book-loving family.

Review by Adaire Prosser

Located on the second level in the Myer Centre Adelaide, we visited Page & Turner for a relaxed and cozy shopping experience. Stocking books from all genres as well as various memorabilia and collectables, everyone in the family will find a treasure in this hidden gem.

As you walk through the doors, you can place a coffee order with the staff to enjoy while you browse the books. Almost all of the books here are second-hand and so carry affordable price tags. However, only the very best pre-loved condition books are kept on the packed shelves. There are books to suit every taste from classics, fantasy and sci-fi, crime and even manga and a children’s section. If you are a bit of a book collector like myself, there is a section of signed and special edition including some second hand editions with stenciled edges (my personal favourite).

Along the back wall there is reading nook, and a table set up with games and chess boards. There is also a large vinyl collection. Other media found in the store include CDs, a large blu-ray selection and even some cassette tapes.

There is a separate reading nook for children stocked full of books, toys and a low comfy couch. They will find plenty to keep occupied so you can browse the store in relative peace. If it’s after 11am, you can even order from the selection of wines to enjoy.

Location:

Level 2 of the Myer Centre, Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Check their website link below for store opening hours.
