To celebrate 175 years of the City of Adelaide, Adelaide City Council warmly invites you to ‘Picnic in Elder’, a free community event.
From 11am- 4pm on Saturday 31 October 2015, Elder Park will be transformed into a scene reminiscent of Adelaide in the late 1800s. Learn to dance colonial styles, have a play of the didgeridoo, sample some traditional bush tucker or simply sit back and enjoy the stunning surroundings of Elder Park to the sounds of The Audreys, as well as some of Adelaide’s best local artists.
Don your favourite old fashioned attire, pack your picnic and bring your family and friends along to enjoy an afternoon of fun and frivolities. Join in and celebrate this milestone and get a taste of what Adelaide was like when we became the first local government in Australia.
