Playgrounds in your local National Parks are open
You can run, swing and slide back into the playgrounds at Cobbler Creek Recreation Park, Morialta Conservation Park, Belair National Park and more.
According to SA Health, the risk of COVID-19 transmission from outdoor parks, playgrounds and equipment is low and can be managed by following important social distancing and hygiene precautions:
- Maintain social distancing requirements
- Ensure you pack some soap or hand sanitiser and maintain good hygiene by washing your hands before and after playing on any equipment with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry them with paper towel or a hand dryer. Alternatively use alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
- Never visit a park or playground if you, or your children or a family member are unwell.
It is also important to remember that any equipment in parks and playgrounds can be contaminated by a range of things including birds, animals, dirt and dust.
Toilets near playgrounds are being cleaned daily. They are installing signage to remind visitors to practice social distancing and good hygiene.
