Adelaide Farmers’ Market Pop Up | Goodwood | 3, 10 & 17 Sep 2023

Pop Up Market returns with a new location at Goodwood Road Primary School.

The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is taking its popular and vibrant market to the heart of Goodwood in September due to the showground hosting the Royal Adelaide Show.

The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market (ASFM) will be held for the first time at the Goodwood Road Primary School, providing an excellent venue for the vibrant event.  Following the tremendous success of last year’s event at Orphanage Park, Millswood, the Pop Up Market is moving to a new location to accommodate even more locals and visitors.

Goodwood Road Primary School will transform into a hub of fresh produce, delectable treats, and community festivities with the Pop Up Market offering an opportunity for everyone to indulge in a unique shopping experience. Patrons can explore a wide variety of beautiful fresh produce directly sourced from South Australian growers and makers. With over 40 stallholders participating, the market will showcase a diverse range of offerings, from succulent fruits and vegetables to artisanal breads, handmade cheeses, free-range meats, and much more.

Christine Robertson, Executive Officer of ASFM, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying,

“The Pop Up Market has become a cherished tradition, connecting our community with local farmers and artisans. By relocating to Goodwood Road Primary School, we aim to enhance the market experience and introduce more people to the incredible range of produce available in our state.”

Family Activities

Alongside the remarkable produce, the event will feature an array of captivating activities suitable for the whole family. Children can participate in creative craft stations and market goers can revel in live music, savour locally crafted beverages, and relish in the goodness of freshly brewed coffee and mouthwatering treats. To add to the excitement, their collaboration with the local school will bring forth student-run stalls and fantastic kid-friendly activities throughout the event.

Father’s Day – 3 September 2023

There will be a Father’s Day giveaway on Sunday, 3 September where attendees will have the chance to walk away with a wheelbarrow brimming with market goodies, valued at over $300 (reserved exclusively to market members).  Additionally, another lucky participant will have the chance to win a flowerpot filled with delightful goodies (open to all). This event will provide the perfect ambiance to celebrate Father’s Day with invigorating coffee, scrumptious breakfast, and cherished moments spent together.

The Pop Up Market at Goodwood Road Primary School will be accessible to everyone, with free entry and various transportation options available. Whether you choose to walk, ride, drive, or catch public transport, the market invites you to immerse yourself in an authentic farmers’ market atmosphere.

The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market will return to its home site at the Adelaide Showground on Sunday 24 September 2023.
