SA Police School Holiday Program

Spots are still available for children aged 9-12 in a free road safety program being offered by SA Police during the July school holidays.

The school holiday program was offered for the first time earlier this year at the Road Safety Centre and proved very popular with more than 90 spots filling quickly. In the July sessions, the classes for children aged five to eight have been fully booked, but there are still spots available for older children on 12 and 18 July 2018.

While traditionally South Australian children have the opportunity to visit the centre as part of a school excursion, not all schools participate in this program. So in order to provide an additional opportunity for children to gain vital road safety education, Police are running the free holiday program.

Participants in the two-hour program will have a classroom session, followed by a practical session of bicycle riding on the mock roadway to put their new knowledge into practice. All equipment is supplied and the Road Safety Centre have a range of bicycles to cater for all riders.

Sessions:

All sessions are from 10am to noon.

  • Tuesday 10 July 2018 for children 5 – 8 years (SOLD OUT)
  • Thursday 12 July 2018 for children 9 – 12 years
  • Tuesday 17 July 2018 for children 5 – 8 years (SOLD OUT)
  • Wednesday 18 July 2018 for children 9 -12 years

To make a booking please contact the Road Safety Section by calling 8207 6585.
