Join the RSPCA Million Paws Walk for ONE LAST LAP in 2025 at Adelaide Botanic Garden. Enjoy a family fun day and walk with your-legged friends to help raise much needed funds for animals in need.
For 31 years, amazing superheroes and their loyal pooches have come together for Million Paws Walk – the walk to fight animal cruelty. The RSPCA have made the difficult decision to hang up the Million Paws Walk’s leash for the final time, with May 2025 being their final national event.
Sadly, with rising event costs after the pandemic and the financial strain on animal lovers, hosting events like Million Paws Walk has become increasingly difficult. Unfortunately, these challenges have proven that Million Paws Walk is no longer the most effective way to raise money to help the animals in our care.
Each person (and pup) that has ever participated has helped to make an amazing difference for animals in need across Australia. Since 1994, over 768,000 people and 410,000 dogs have participated, raising an incredible $17 million to support RSPCA’s work to protect and care for animals. The Million Paws Walk community has been an incredible part of this journey, and they’d love for you to be part of the final event to send it off in style!

This year you’ll have a choice of six different start times, which means you and your pet will have more space to relax and enjoy the Garden’s beautiful autumn colours. Early birds can join the first walk at 9am and the final group will head off at 11:30am. Places in each group are strictly limited, so be sure to register soon.
You’ll also have a choice of walk distances – choose between a 2.3km or 3.5km stroll.
Before or after your walk they’d love you to join the fun in the nearby mini Million Paws Walk Village for food trucks, market stalls and festivities.
Adelaide Botanic Garden is usually out of bounds for dogs, except for this one special day when they are welcome inside.
Please note, though, that their access is strictly limited between the times of 9am and 1pm. For the safety of all participants, they request a maximum of one dog per handler please.
