Sand Sculptures – The Jungle Book | New Location – Port Adelaide | 13-28 Apr 2019

Sand Sculptures return to Adelaide with ‘The Jungle Book in Sand’ re-homed undercover to the Flour Shed at Harts Mill in Port Adelaide.

During the April School Holidays, over 450 tonnes of sand will be transformed into all of your favourite Jungle Book characters; with 10 sculptors from around the globe having worked for over 1,000 hours collectively to bring the exhibition to life.

This year’s sand sculpting event will be held inside Harts Mill in Port Adelaide meaning that the sand sculptures will be undercover and protected from rain, hail or shine.

In conjunction with the sand sculptures is an incredible array of things to do for kids and big kids alike:

  • Sand sculpting DIY workshop
  • Sand bottle and sand art craft
  • Family game zone including a giant kids sandpit
  • 30-minute theatrette behind the scenes experience
  • an evening light show (6pm-9pm)
  • as well as an intimate meet and greet with a sand sculptor and much more.

In addition to the daily school holiday fun, families can enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt over the Easter break.

Food Truck Park

Sand Sculptures will also be hosting their tastiest new addition ~ a complete food truck park which will fill Mundy St with the best street food operators in South Australia.

The event, including the sculptures, activities and food truck park will be open daily from 10am to 9pm.
