Single use plastics can harm marine life โ items like straws, balloons and plastic bags are ending up in our oceans and are swallowed by or get caught up on unsuspecting marine life. You can help protect defenseless marine life by reducing your use of these products and keeping our beaches clear of them.
Join the Sea Shepherd Adelaide Beach Clean up Crew andย goย for a walk along Semaphore beach to help protect local marine life and wildlife to keep our beaches clean for everyone to enjoy.
To protect against injury from collecting rubbish it is advisable that everyone brings protective gloves, or kitchen tongs are a great way of picking up rubbish without having to handle it.
After the clean up we run an education session with the children to talk about the types of rubbish found and impacts on marine life.
Activities also including making sand sculptures of marine life and talks on different marine species.
