Adelaide Beach Clean Up: Sea Shepherd

The Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Team are conducting a beach clean up at Seacliff Beach on Sunday 20 October 2018. Go and lend a hand to clean up the beach and protect marine life.

Plastic pollution can seem overwhelming at times, but it doesn’t have to be. There is so much we can all do as individuals and as a community. Beach cleans area are a great place to start. If you are keen you can also give the team a hand to sort and document the debris found, and learn about the items found.

The Sea Shepherd team will also be giving a talk to children about the impacts of marine debris and what they can do to help protect marine life and the oceans. Students of the Children’s University Australia program can also receive a stamp in their passport for taking part in the clean up and attending the talk.

Bring some protective gloves or tongs for picking up the rubbish, and help keep our beaches clean for everyone. Suitable for all ages, provided subject to parental supervision.

What to bring:

  • Water in a reusable container
  • Be SunSmart
  • Wear closed-in shoes
  • Bring a hat
  • If you have them, bring along tongs, bucket and reusable gloves.
