Sea Shepherd Adelaide Beach Clean Up | Clean the Beach – Protect the Whales
Sea Shepherd Adelaide invites families to come for a walk along the beach with them to help clean up the environment to protect local marine life and wildlife and to keep our beaches clean for everyone to enjoy. With whale migration season underway we may even be able to do some whale spotting.
To protect against injury from collecting rubbish it is advisable that everyone brings protective gloves, or kitchen tongs are a great way of picking up rubbish without having to handle it.
After the clean up Sea Shepherd Adelaide will run an education session with the children to talk about the types of rubbish found and impacts on marine life.
Activities also including making sand sculptures of marine life and talks on different marine species. Talks are tailored to the age group in attendance on the day.
Why not head down to Victor Harbor for the day, join us for the beach clean up, then visit the South Australian Whale Centre or book a Whale Watching trip with the Big Duck Boat Tours. Those that participate in the beach clean up will receive a $2 discount voucher for the South Australian Whale Centre, where you can visit the Sea Shepherd exhibit of the MV Steve Irwin.
