Summer in Adelaide is a time when families can head to the beach and enjoy all the fun of the fair at the Semaphore Summer Carnival.
Held each year during the summer school holidays, the Semaphore Summer Carnival is a fun filled outing for the whole family. Enjoy some beachside fun on the foreshore with thrill rides, dodgem cars, bungy trampolines, water balls, temporary tattoos, sideshow games and much more.
Every Sunday in January there is also free entertainment from 2pm. Catch roaming performers, entertainers, magicians, themes shows and more.
Semaphore has everything you need to enjoy a day by the sea and the Semaphore Summer Carnival is fast becoming an icon of the summer holidays for South Australians. This summer the carnival will run from Saturday 13th December 2014 until Monday 26th January 2015 (closed Christmas Day). The entertainment opens at 11.00am daily.
While at Semaphore be sure to take a stroll along the jetty, bring buckets and spades for the beach and treat the children to a ride on the Semaphore Carousel. For some water action check out the Semaphore Waterslide Complex. The Semaphore to Fort Glanville open carriage miniature steam train also operates every day of the January school holidays.
The Semaphore Summer Carnival is also the perfect setting to enjoy the free fireworks display held on New Year’s Eve at midnight and Australia Day at 9.30pm.
Entry to the Semaphore Summer Carnival is free, however charges apply to all of the amusements and rides.
