Learn to skate enrolments are now open for Term 2

Why not learn to skate this year? It’s a fun, healthy and social activity that your children will be sure to love.

Skatescool students participate in the levels program which takes skaters through levels 1 – 4. You will learn lots of show stopping tricks like skating backwards, jumping, transition, skating on 4 wheels, speed skating, spins, we even touch on jam skating.

The lessons will also include fun games that utilise the skills they have learnt. As each level is passed the skater receives a certificate of achievement and a ribbon to tie on their skate.

Something for the adults

Did you used to be an 80’s skater and want to relive your youth? Are you new to skating and want to learn some awesome skills, or even just to stand up and stop? Do you need a great stress relief for the end of your busy day? Want to get fit without even knowing you’re exercising? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Skatercise is for you!!!

The skills you will be learning in Skatercise are basic skills from starting and stopping to heel toes spins, skating on your two front or back wheels, skating on one foot, jumping, knee slides, whipping and we also touch on Jam skating, which is kind of like dancing on skates, but cool dancing like hip hop. You will learn to moonwalk, do a grapevine and lots lots more. If you’re a bit daunted by this, don’t worry, most people who walk through their doors the first time say that they haven’t skated in 20 years – now they are zooming around on 4 wheels!
