Sophie’s Patch Spring Open Garden
Spring offers the perfect opportunity to visit Sophie Thomson’s iconic drylands garden which provides inspiration, delight and learning opportunities for gardeners and want to be gardeners at every turn.
The open garden will run as always over three days. The societies will be there (Beekeepers’ Society of SA, Birds SA and Butterfly Conservation SA), the nurseries will be there (Hillside Herbs and Succulents, Tupelo Grove Nursery and Bickleigh Vale Organic Farm) and so will Recreate from Mt Pleasant.
It is also an opportunity to enjoy great food from Sophie’s Patch produce, shop from exceptional nurseries, learn from environmental groups who attend and have a fun day out on your own, with friends and with family.
Due to social distancing, the event will not able to host the wonderful program of garden talks which are normally held in the shed. Instead, those who would usually deliver these talks have recorded a video available for attendees to watch in the comfort of their own homes at a time that’s convenient for them. This will be only for Open Garden attendees for one month and then they will be made available for everyone.
