The annual Sparkling Fest is back again for 2021, with an exciting series of events on offer to showcase sparkling wine and champagne. 

The National Wine Centre is set to add a sparkle to October with a month-long Festival of events acknowledging those most coveted celebratory beverages – sparkling wines and champagne with its annual Sparkling Fest. The best of the best from Australia and France will be celebrated across the month commencing with a series of Sparkling and Champagne masterclasses that are designed to at once indulge and educate.

The series will then wrap with the highly anticipated, always a sell-out Sparkling Fest event itself on 24 October.

The Sparkling Fest calendar of events:

Masterclass 1 – Adelaide Hills | Sunday 3 October 1:30pm – 3pm

$75PP + booking fee

A visit to the Hills wine region will never be the same again! In this masterclass you’ll look at some of the shining examples of the Adelaide Hills as you explore the various styles from Blanc de Blancs to Sparkling Rosé from across the Adelaide Hills.
You’ll taste:

  • Mordrelle Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Chardonnay
  • Deviation Road ‘Beltana’ Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Chardonnay
  • Lambrook ‘Emerson’ Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir

Masterclass 2 – Grower Champagne | Sunday 10 October 1:30pm – 3pm

One of the National Wine Centre’s favourite and most popular masterclasses. Delve into the world of Grower Champagne, that is Champagne made in house from grape to bottle.

Masterclass 3 – Fancy Champagne | Sunday 17 October 1:30pm – 3pm

A must do opportunity to try the best of the best Champagne all at once. In this masterclass you’ll delve into some of the most recognised Champagne Houses and individual wines. A great chance to taste some of the most famous wines that we typically only see in the movies.

Picture a day of pure indulgence, as you delve into the wonderful world of all things bubbles, with an extensive range of Sparkling from Australia, America and across Europe and all of your favourite Champagne houses on offer. Add live music , fabulous food and it’s no surprise this event sells out every year.

Tickets include entrance into Sparkling Fest plus $8 Sparkling Fest tokens to use towards your first drink. There’s an extensive list of Champagne and local Sparkling Wine available. Still wine will also be available to purchase by the glass or bottle. Food includes fresh Streaky Bay oysters, cheese and charcuterie, paella, squid and more available to purchase

Gold Lounge:

A day of pure indulgence. Tickets include entrance into Sparkling Fest with exclusive access to the Gold Lounge areas. This includes a 5 hour food and beverage package including a progressive “Feed Me” style lunch. Beverages include Deviation Road Loftia Vintage Brut & Mumm Grand Cordon served by the glass and a selection of local beer, wine and soft drink. Gold Lounge ticket holders will also be treated to exclusive Champagne tastings across the day.
