Stirling Fringe 2020
The Stirling Fringe is a fabulous Adelaide Fringe venue in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Relax on the lawns under the trees while enjoying local food, wine, beer and ice-cream from food trucks while the kids play in the kids zone which has giant chess, connect 4, giant blocks and wooden climbing frames. There’s a whole host of shows for all tastes and ages including, theatre, cabaret, comedy, magic, circus, and family entertainment.
Opening Night Party
The event kicks off with a bang from the famous opening night party. Proceedings will start at the Stirling lawns with the free, family-friendly event. Then at 9:30pm, the ticketed Variety Gala will begin in the Stirling Community Theatre, showcasing some of the highlights of the festival. Another big attraction is the bar on the Stirling Lawns, itβs the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere of the event with world-class drinks from the Adelaide Hills region, food trucks and an open-air stage featuring a rotating schedule of free entertainment.
During the week, there are 2:30 pm shows each day, catered for those who might not want to come see a show at night but still want to experience the best of the festival.

SPLASH TEST DUMMIES | Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 February 2020
Splash Test Dummies are ready to roll out their beach towels and spring into a brand new hour of circus filled hilarity for the whole family. See a brilliant array of catch-your-breath stunt work, acrobatics, juggling and the side-splitting, slapstick comedy for which the dummies are famous. Join the Dummies and dive from bathtubs to beaches in this new aquatic adventure.
THE GAGLIARDIS! | Sunday 23 & Wednesday 26 February 2020
This comedy duo have an unhealthy obsession for laughter and the ridiculously silly. With a mixing pot of variety, vaudeville and vintage circus, these two have travelled the world atop their penny farthing, dragging suitcases of shenanigans and bringing giggles to the masses. TALKING DOGS | Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 February 2020
A comedy variety show with a real difference for kids aged 4-11. Where else can you see two talking dogs and one world class juggling human? Erik is a magnificent metal robot dog with a huge personality, he loves showing off, doing stunts and he was also a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent. Alan is a soft, adorable muppet of a dog who likes hanging out, chatting with the kids and singing his own special songs. Joel Salom is the human behind the dogs.
MICKSTER’S MAGIC GADGETS | Friday 28 February 2020
Mickster the Trickster needs YOUR kids to help him find his MISSING cheeseburger before he gets super super HANGRY. In this new-age high tech magic show, Mickster takes family entertainment & interactivity to the next level. Filled with awesome GIZMOS, GADGETS & CLUES, the kids become part of the show & help him find that burger.
BIG TOPS & TINY TOTS CIRCUS SHOW | Saturday 29 February & Sunday 1 March 2020
Straight from a sell-out season at Edinburgh Fringe, Big Tops returns to Adelaide with this early-education focused show made just for little ones. After 50 minutes of endless giggling, kids will be somersaulting out the door with excitement, ready to set off on their very own circus adventure.

We have a trash problem here on planet Earth! And we need to talk about it! What was the last thing you threw away? Could you have reused that thing? Recycled it? Or maybe used it to do some amazing science? Expect all sorts of odd surprises as the Trash Can Man turns trash into scientific treasure – that unexpectedly squeaks and screams, squirts and splashes, floats and flies… and then bursts into flames.

THE SCIENTIFIC BUBBLE SHOW | Saturday 22 & Saturday 29 February 2020
Marty will amaze you as he creates bubble volcanos, tornados, rockets, cubes, jellyfish, caterpillars and more, and attempts to put 10 children inside one giant bubble. Along the way he’ll explain the amazing science behind his bubble creations, including concepts like surface tension, flexibility, iridescence, transparency, gravity and the properties of solids, liquids and gases. And Marty certainly knows how to make giant bubbles – in fact, he holds the World Record for the largest bubble ever made indoors.
GAME ON 2.0 | Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 February 2020
Matty Grey is back with a whole new show about video games. Watch Matty journey through GAME LAND as he battles through live action games including Pokemon, Operation, and some little indie game called FORTNITE. Fast paced, snot comes out your nose funny for the whole family. Every person gets a Nerf gun to use in the GIGANTIC live action FORTNITE finale.
KIDS’ DIRECTOR’S CUT | Saturday 29 February & Sunday 1 March 2020
An utterly bonkers, fantastically funny show where your kids get to call the shots. Steve Worsley and Charles Hindley from the multi award-winning Men with Coconuts create a fully improvised, Hollywood-style performance created from your all-time favourite movie titles, especially for kids.

Petit Circus returns with a brand new show in 2020. Petit Circus is a family circus extravanganza. A 45 minute show packed with amazing acrobatics, stacks of silliness, perfect for children aged 3+, and the young at heart.
’80’s BABY: A KIDS DISCO | Saturday 29 February & Sunday 1 March 2020
Following a smash hit run in 2019, the sing-along, dance-along, pop-party for little people is back. Join Adelaide’s own cabaret darling (and Mum) to Celebrate Good Times, do the Locomotion and even Walk The Dinosaur, at this retro-party where both Girls AND Boys Just Wanna Have Fun. From vintage Play School classics to the disco favs that will get Mum and Dad’s groove on, plus a few current kids hits snuck in for good measure, you’ll be on your feet from start to finish at 80’s Baby. Ideal ages 2-7, younger welcome.
